Hoboken/Brooklyn

Success! I've been taking more photos. Fail! I've been neglecting my blog.

Two weekends ago, I ventured up to Hoboken to visit my college roommates. We spent Saturday at the Brooklyn Brewery.

6 tokens for $20. Check.
2 large pizzas for $40. Check.
More calories in 4 hours than I need in 24 hours. Check.

After the brewery and an eventful subway ride back to Hoboken, we needed a little energy after all those carbs. A little 5 Hour Energy to be precise.

Heartbreaking. But E. Washington didn't have America's favorite Vice President rooting for them.

 

He was too busy sticking his foot in his mouth during halftime.

 

Biden: "Well I played freshman year [for Delaware], but then my grades weren't so good. I came back on the team junior year. It's funny my sister graduated top of her class, while I barely graduated. And look who's Vice President."

 

Yep. We sure are proud to have you as an alum Mr. Biden.

Stairway to... Fitness?

Last year, my New Year resolution involved giving up the elevators and escalators of the world. But then I moved to the 5th floor of my office building and gave up.

I'm back on the 4th floor, of both my office building and my apartment building, and I'm officially giving up elevators and escalators.

That is, unless I'm carrying my new fancy Keurig into my apartment, which was more than worth making an exception to get that little joy of instant french vanilla coffee every morning.

2011 Resolutions

Twenty Eleven. Yikes.

Twenty Ten was a big one. A week in Costa Rica, 10 days in Peru - hiking Machu Picchu, Chicago, night classes, moving into my second big girl apartment (well if you saw the first one, you might DQ it...), getting a new roommate, a month of bootcamp, and lots of miles on that car. LOTS.

I don't have as many concrete plans for this year, but I've got a lot of Big. Plans. So my only New Year resolution is to make them happen.

Oh, and lose 15 lbs, expand my cooking horizon, keep my apartment clean, learn how to blog, and take more pictures.

Let's Get It Started...

I did it. I jumped on the blogging bandwagon. It only took the entire year of 2010 and religiously following my friend's posts.

Blogging became my morning routine this year... check my work email, IM my breakfast buddy, 2 egg whites with onions, mushrooms, tomatos, coffee - non dairy creamer, one equal, 3 hot sauce packets. Then, Windows Explorer with high hopes for new blog posts.

Last year, I seriously contemplated starting a blog but I couldn't think of anything interesting to blog about. I settled on the idea that if I did, I would focus on my adventures in my car. I did a LOT of driving, and spent a LOT of QT in that car. But then I decided that was lame and forgot about blogging.

Well, I recently totaled that beloved car. And it's 2011. And I decided why the hell not.

So here it is... for better or worse: My Blog. Now I just need a title, a picture, and a clue.
